SH007125Richard Steiff invented the Teddy bear in 1902. Enriching the design year by year until 1905 when he created the ¡§perfect¡¨ Teddy bear. Made in grey with a soft, friendly face and innovative disc joints, a method so successful that it is still used today. This original 1905 grey bear lives in the Steiff Museum. Richard¡¦s perfected teddy bear is delighted to join the Teddies for tomorrow range as part of a new series of iconic characters using alternative materials. He wears the 1897 company logo chest tag.
